Shipping Policy for Librarians

By using McFarland's online catalog and order form to compile your order, approximate shipping is calculated automatically, based on the number of items ordered.

United States shipping charges via U.S. post: $5.00 first book, $1.00 for each book thereafter.

Canadian shipping charges via the courier UPS: $13.00 first book, $3.00 for each book thereafter. (On May 14, 2007, the U.S. Postal Service implemented new rates and procedures. Since then, McFarland instead ships via UPS.)

International shipping charges via U.S. post international priority mail: $30.00 first book, $8.50 for each book thereafter. (On May 14, 2007, the U.S. Postal Service eliminated surface mail and implemented new rates and procedures.) Customers in UK, all of Europe, North Africa and the Middle East should instead order from Eurospan. Customers in Australia, New Zealand, and Papua New Guinea should instead order from DA Books. Customers in India should instead order from Viva Books.

Typically, parcels are shipped from McFarland's warehouse within one business day of receiving your order. The U.S. Postal Service doesn't guarantee transit times, but offers the following guidelines: 10 to 15 business days for domestic deliveries, and six to eight weeks for international deliveries. UPS advises five business days as a guideline for their "standard ground" shipping.
