Returns Policy for Booksellers

McFarland does not require that prior authorization be obtained before making a return. However, we ask that all booksellers abide by the following:

For returns of overstock:

• Invoice number must be provided.
• Books may not be returned more than twelve months from the date of the invoice.
• Returned copies must be clean, saleable and carefully packed.
• Returned copies must be of current, in-print editions.
• A credit memo will be issued. Credit may not be used until it has been issued by McFarland.

For misshipments, defective books, or short shipments:

• Invoice number must be provided.
• Claims must be made not more than 60 days from the date of the invoice.

Books that are returned erroneously will not receive credit. McFarland retains the right of final decision in determining the saleability and condition of returned books. All returns and claims should be directed to:
