How Booksellers Can Order

McFarland welcomes direct orders from booksellers and dealers of all sorts. To receive your bookseller's discount, place your order by fax, phone, e-mail or regular mail (you might wish to use the online catalog and shopping cart to compile your order, however). Inquiries from new accounts and general questions from booksellers should be directed to Adam Phillips at aphillips@mcfarlandpub.com.


Fax Orders (336-246-4403)
Our fax line is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Fax purchase orders to "Book Order Dept." Please be sure to include your name, the company name, address (both shipping and billing if separate), telephone number, and purchase order number if applicable.


Telephone Orders (800-253-2187)
Our telephone order desk is available from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Eastern time, Monday through Friday. Call our customer service representatives at 800-253-2187 and they will be happy to take your order. You'll need to have either the ISBN or the author last name and title for your selections. Be ready to provide your name, company name, address (both shipping and billing if separate), telephone number, and purchase order number if applicable. If you have general questions about our books, please call our regular office number at 336-246-4460.

Standing Orders
McFarland welcomes standing orders and subscriptions. This service is available by series, subject category, or author, for example. Please tell us of your interests. Contact Adam Phillips at aphillips@mcfarlandpub.com.


Backorders
If a title on your purchase order is temporarily out of stock or not yet published, McFarland will automatically place a backorder for you and send you a backorder notification with the expected date of availability. McFarland will ship backorders as soon as stock is available. You will not be invoiced until the book has actually been shipped. Once you receive your backorder notification, if you prefer that your backorder be cancelled, please tell us.


Orders from International Customers
For orders placed from Europe, North Africa, the Middle East, Australia, New Zealand or India, customers may contact the McFarland representative in their territory. Consult our guidelines for international customers for further information.


Payment
We require that all new accounts prepay. For prepayment, we accept MasterCard, Visa, American Express and Discover, or we can issue a proforma invoice (please make checks payable to McFarland). After a credit history is established, terms are net 30 days from the invoice date. All payments should be made in U.S. funds.
