Each chapter covers a different period of Franklin’s life, including the peak of his performing career as a principal dancer with the Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo, his legendary professional partnership with Alexandra Danilova, and his role in introducing ballet to millions of Americans during World War II.
About the Author
Leslie Norton is associate professor in dance at the Hamilton College Theatre and Dance Department and lives in Clinton, New York. She lives in Clinton, New York. Frederic Franklin continues to appear in principal character roles with the American Ballet Theatre, and also stages classics from the Ballet Russe repertoire, both in the United States and in Europe. He currently resides in New York City.
