About the Editor
Leslie A. Heaphy is an associate professor of history at Kent State University,
Stark Campus, in Canton, Ohio. She is the editor of
Satchel Paige and Company and
Black Baseball and Chicago,
co-editor of Encyclopedia of Women and Baseball,
and author of the award-winning The Negro Leagues, 1869–1960.
She lives in North Canton.
